Hospital-at-Home: A Strategic Approach to Strengthening our Health System’s Core
Information
Mass General Brigham (MGB), a not-for-profit healthcare system in Massachusetts, operates the largest certified home health agency in New England. In 2017, the health system launched its Home Hospital program, which has since expanded into a 70-bed program—one of the largest in the country. Through the expansion of its Home Hospital program, MGB has achieved substantial system-wide improvements, including reductions in readmissions and length of stay, bed days saved, and enhanced patient satisfaction.
In this brunch & learn, Dr. Stephen Dorner, chief clinical and innovation officer for Mass General Brigham’s Healthcare at Home program, will explore the growth of the hospital-at-home program and highlight the system-wide impact it is having on the organization.
By the end of this brunch and learn, you’ll gain valuable insights into how to:
- Scale your Home Hospital program to drive system-wide impact
- Adapt Home Hospital best practices to expand into new use cases
- Effectively demonstrate system-wide results to key stakeholders
- Build a business case and staffing model for your hospital-at-home program
Additionally, come prepared with your own hospital-at-home questions and use this as an opportunity to engage in innovative discussions and brainstorming with industry leaders.
