Robin Austin from the University of Minnesota will lead a compelling session on the urgent need to address digital inequities that impact nursing and patient care. She will explore how gaps in technology literacy and access among nurses can lead to disparities, while also shedding light on biases within data and AI algorithms that affect underrepresented groups. Robin will emphasize the critical role of nursing informaticists in combating these challenges, stressing that responsibility cannot be deferred to data scientists alone. Attendees will gain actionable insights into creating fair, effective, and compassionate AI-driven healthcare solutions.
