In this moderated conversation, panelists from across the healthcare ecosystem discuss the latest advancements and regulatory impacts on the integration of behavioral healthcare into health IT systems. The session will provide a comprehensive overview of the current federal and state policy landscape, including a) the effects of the Consolidated Appropriations Act on the development and maintenance of data infrastructure, b) the recent collaborations between
the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) and the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) to advance behavioral health IT integration within Electronic Health Records (EHRs), and c) updates on the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Physician Fee Schedule. Additionally, the session will feature examples of how health systems, such as Northwestern Medicine, are integrating tech enable solutions into their ecosystems to advance measurement-informed behavioral health care and how technology companies, such as NeuroFlow, are leveraging state programs like Colorado Access to enhance mental health services and improve patient outcomes.
