Information

Learn about a statewide framework for community colleges to align education and workforce development needs to ensure all residents have accessible and affordable education and training pathways for an in-demand field that leads to family-supporting careers. A transformed system—one that invests in diverse learners, provides the wraparound support they need to complete their education and training, and connects them with in-demand career pathways—is necessary to renew the national healthcare information and technology infrastructure, to supply talent for quality high-tech jobs in growing areas of artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and healthcare informatics, and to improve health outcomes of all patients. The novel solution shared is not high-tech, not complicated, without arduous curriculum review and approvals, and not expensive. Instead, it’s everything that any community college can adopt in about a year.
