Information

As healthcare systems grapple with workforce shortages and provider burnout, virtual care has emerged as a vital solution to mitigate these challenges. This session will explore the transformative virtual care delivery models that extend provider reach, improve access to care and reduce burnout among staff. Realizing these benefits requires significant investment, robust infrastructure and effective change management. A panel of digital health leaders from three prominent academic medical centers will discuss how their organizations leverage state-of-the-art telehealth technology, remote monitoring and other digital strategies to transform patient care and alleviate the strain on healthcare professionals. Programs featured include virtual nursing, tele-hospitalist rounding, TeleICU to support new PICU nurses, hospital access line telemedicine programs, and a virtual-only specialty practice. Leaders will outline key considerations for setting program strategy, discuss resources required for implementation, and share data demonstrating the impact of these programs on the workforce.
