This panel will discuss the groundbreaking advancements of The Sequoia Project’s Data Usability Workgroup with the latest December 2024 release of the Version 2.0 Implementation Guide. We will explore how this updated guide builds upon previous efforts to further improve semantic interoperability and data usability within healthcare workflows. Input from all relevant stakeholders was essential in developing credible implementation guidance for various use cases. The Sequoia Project’s Data Usability Taking Root Movement recruited organizations who pledged to implement the first version of the Implementation Guide released by the workgroup. Additionally, we will provide an in-depth update on the Data Usability Taking Root Movement, focusing on the newly introduced scorecard metrics that will commence in July 2024. These metrics are designed to evaluate and enhance the implementation efforts of participating organizations, ensuring that data usability improvements are effectively realized in practice.
