Public health is a data-driven science, requiring robust data and information systems. Nations seek to implement robust digital health strategies that require advance public health information systems capable of detecting and responding to the next pandemic. Achieving this vision will require a public health workforce for the future. In this presentation, experts will describe the challenges and opportunities for creating and expanding the public health workforce of the future. There are policy, academic and organizational changes needed to enable training and employment for individuals who can support the unique needs of public health.
