Information

Artificial Intelligence and Mobile Health technologies hold the promise of making healthcare more accessible and affordable for underserved communities, advancing HIMSS' vision of the "Hospital without Walls". But applying these technologies in siloed solutions can limit their usefulness at improving patient outcomes. Using an integrative deployment model that leverages these tools at multiple points along the care continuum maximizes overall effectiveness. Adding targeted training for clinicians and patients also enhances trust and compliance, helping providers give better value without requiring more resources. These methodologies will be key to improving patient access and outcomes given anticipated future cuts to healthcare funding.
