Information

Nordic healthcare systems have strong digital foundations, yet the pace of technological innovation—particularly in the United Statesis accelerating rapidly. New approaches to interoperability, patient access to health data, platform-based ecosystems, and large-scale deployment of AI are moving from concept to production at a speed that challenges established planning and governance models.
This Nordic Community Session at HIMSS26 is designed to help Nordic healthcare leaders and stakeholders stay ahead of these developments. The session focuses on how emerging technologies and ecosystem-driven models in the U.S. are reshaping healthcare delivery, data use, and patient empowerment, and what this means for Nordic strategies going forward.

Through curated insights from invited U.S. speakers and open dialogue among Nordic participants, the session explores how experiences from U.S. health systems, technology providers, and innovation initiatives can inform strategic thinking in a Nordic context. The session also highlights key HIMSS26 themes, speakers, and sessions that may be particularly relevant to follow during the conference days.
The goal is to strengthen strategic preparedness, support shared learning, and help Nordic participants translate global innovation insights into practical value in their own eHealth and digital health work.
