Transforming Patient Care by Enhancing Interoperability Solutions

The Federal Electronic Health Record Modernization (FEHRM) office expanded the joint health information exchange to access more than 90% of U.S. hospitals using eHealth Exchange, CommonWell, and Carequality. As interoperability expands with the introduction the Trusted Exchange Framework and Common Agreement, the FEHRM is planning to implement technological advances with the use of artificial intelligence capabilities such as Natural Language Processing and improved data exchange solutions such as Seamless Exchange.
