Information

Radiology is one of the most software-dependent clinical specialties—and one of the most operationally strained. In this session, Radiology Imaging Associates (RIA) and VytalMed share how a high-volume radiology practice (200+ radiologists, 2.5M exams annually) partnered with a technology accelerator to build practical AI tools that solve real operational problems legacy systems ignored.

Rather than discussing theoretical AI, this talk walks through production-ready solutions built by radiologists, for radiology operations: intelligent worklist orchestration to prevent cherry-picking, AI-powered fax automation that reduced manual intake staffing by over 60%, and AI-driven HL7 and order mapping that dramatically accelerates hospital onboarding. Attendees will see how “human-in-the-loop” AI is applied safely and pragmatically, where machines handle the volume and humans handle the edge cases.

The session concludes with real financial and operational ROI, lessons from a rapid clinician-developer feedback loop, and a forward look at how AI can finally reduce clicks, burnout, and friction—so radiologists can focus on care, not clerical work.
