Local Roots, National Reach: Building Federal Health Capabilities Through Community-Centered Networks
Information
This session is part of the Interoperability & HIE Preconference Forum and additional registration is required.
This session explores how state and local health information networks serve as the critical foundation for achieving federal health priorities. Participants will discover how community-rooted networks leverage local governance, trusted relationships, and zip code-level insights to deliver on national initiatives, including syndromic surveillance, electronic case reporting (eCR), electronic clinical quality measures (eCQMs), and population health research. Through real-world examples, attendees will learn how these networks balance local responsiveness to unique state and community needs while maintaining seamless connectivity to national health information exchanges, creating a powerful model for scalable, sustainable health information infrastructure.
