Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare

Information

Artificial intelligence (AI) innovations in healthcare are advancing rapidly, but clinicians are often left without the tools or frameworks to assess these technologies’ safety and effectiveness in real-world settings. The Healthcare AI Challenge is a collaborative initiative led by academic health systems and partner organizations that was created to change that. It empowers clinicians to take an active role in AI evaluation, offering a structured and gamified platform to assess cutting-edge AI tools across diverse specialties and data modalities. Their expert feedback provides reliable insights to various stakeholders, including the public, healthcare systems, and AI developers, and can help healthcare leaders make smarter, data-driven AI deployment decisions. This workshop will empower and equip digital health leaders and healthcare professionals with practical strategies to become effective AI users and evaluators. Participants will learn how to assess generative AI tools hands-on, understand key evaluation criteria, and leverage their insights to drive safe and meaningful adoption in their own organizations and specialties.
