Now past the worst of the pandemic, healthcare organizations have gained back some ground on clinician burnout, but the strain that the pandemic put on the healthcare system still ripples across the industry. Burnout continues to be an issue, particularly in the nursing field. To retain and recruit nurses, organizations must invest in robust wellness programs that focus on the health of employees inside and outside of the work environment.
