Four out of five doctors say they feel overworked, according to the 2024 Doximity Physician Compensation Report, and about half report feelings of burnout, according to a 2024 report from Medscape. The leading cause? Too much clerical work.

For healthcare systems grappling with clinician shortages and increasing patient demands, the urgency is growing to relieve administrative burdens from clinicians who are best utilized—and most satisfied in their professions—when they can focus on taking care of patients. Generative AI has been shown to reduce documentation time and effort, while increasing clinician satisfaction as well as patient experiences—but it only works if clinicians are willing to change their ingrained behaviors and adopt the technology. Healthcare systems that implement generative AI for clinical documentation must focus on building deep, two-way partnerships with clinicians to evangelize and rapidly deploy the technology to reap its benefits.

We will hear from clinician champions at large and complex healthcare systems that have been successful at implementing generative AI technology across thousands of users in all specialties and care settings. They will share their most successful strategies and tactics for maximizing rapid adoption to empower clinicians to chart a new path forward for professional fulfillment.
