NIST Releases Guidance for Protecting DNA

Advances in genomic sequencing facilitate improved health diagnoses and outcomes, agricultural products, and criminal identification, among other uses. These advances also introduce complex cybersecurity and privacy concerns. In this talk, NIST will present recently published guidance and ongoing areas of research designed to help organizations understand and prioritize measures to address the threats, risks, and protections for this highly valuable genomic data.
